The Genomics Facility welcomes the NovaSeq 6000: The NovaSEQ combines 2 color SBS chemistry (as on NextSEQ) with the nanowell patterned flow cell (as on HiSEQ4000). There are four flow cell options available, SP, S1, S2, and the S4 which yield wise roughly equal 2, 4, 9 and 25 lanes on the HiSEQ4000 / NextSEQ, respectively]. While the flowcells basically represent single lane flowcells there is a way to split the SP, S1 and S2 flowcells into 2 lanes and the S4 flowcells into 4 lanes (extra cost though). The Facility has tested Whole Genome sequencing on the NovaSeq as well as RNA-SEQ libraries and other samples. The Facility will be happy to discuss whether the NovaSEQ is right for you!!

    The University of Chicago Genomics Facility offers Next-Gen (Illumina and Pacific Biosciences Sequencing and Library prep), Micro-array (Illumina genotyping and EPIC arrays), Sanger DNA Sequencing, and Bio-analyzer/Fragment-analyzer sample QC services. For Single Cell sequencing project the Facility operates a DROP-SEQ and 10X Genomics instrument.
